This observatory is a gem! Arrived at 7 PM on a Friday. Got to listen to a private lecture from Stephen Watson — a Principal at NASA’s “JPL” — on the current Clipper Mission to Europa. He stayed to answer all of our Q’s. Wow a treat.
Then headed outside where 3 telescopes were set up to view Mars, Jupiter, and Venus. Seeing Jupiter’s moons will forever be an imprint on my mind. The staff was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Used a laser pointer to explain the night sky
Finally, we climbed to the upstairs observatory where the guide would take viewing requests. For the first time, I got to see the Andromeda Galaxy!

Kids friendly entertainment is needed such as asking them specifics about the universe as we know it or including some games within the facility.
The main room is small and could use some enhancing, space is a bit tight. Some brochures or useful guides can be incorporated so you leave with the information to continue your own explorations. Could also incorporate a souvenir shop.

Good that about 30 people turned up for evening, especially for the observatory and astronomy but too much hanging around.
