Wasn't that great, the young lady who greeted us was helpful and even let us pick out our kayaks. Then insulted me by telling me that the weight limit on they kayaks was 240 lbs and she wasn't sure the kayak I selected would work for me. We have been kayaking for several years now and never once had any problems with this, we have even had to put 2 people in our personal kayaks (rescuing friends). But all that aside we just wanted to spend a beautiful day paddling a new river in a new state. With the 5 of us ready we asked to go on the peacock bridge trip. BUT we couldn't do this trip, it was before noon when we arrived but we were told we had to arrive by 10:30 am for the 14 mile / 6 hour trip per the website. Having called 2 days before our trip, for information and to see if we needed to make a reservation. The guy I spoke with (Mike the owner) said nothing about this time limit or arriving before 10:30 am for us to paddle peacock bridge.. All in all the river was nice, the weather was prefect and we had a good time as our group always does. But we wouldn't recommend Bear Paw to anyone we like. For the almost $200 we paid for a 3 hour kayaking trip we feel ripped off. Not to be mean but the canoe livery(s) we have use in other states ie. up north are much warmer and very welcoming. Thanks for the adventure we would love to do it again just not with Bear Paw.
