Pues yo he llegado y está todo cerrado. No hay un cartel donde diga por donde se debe de entrar en fin una puñetera desorganización. Recomiendo NO venir hasta aquí para encontrarlo cerrado. Y una puntualización, he preguntado y sólo quedan dos monjes en la abadía, y a lo único que se puede asistir es a la misa del domingo. Cerca, a escasos 300 mts hay un bar, Gasthof De Brouwerij, que sirve Affligem y otras, pero no tiene que ver nada con la abadía. Los visitantes de este bar han colgado fotos como si fuesen en la abadía y es un bar aparte, lo que hace que caigas en el error de pensar que se puede visitar la abadía y probar la cerveza.

Zeer gesloten en buiten de muren niet zo inspirerend of mooi. Daarom raad ik het complex niet aan. Bezocht op een vroege zondagmiddag in vakantietijd. De kerk was wel open maar de kapel gesloten. Er is een gasterij maar die staat als ik het goed zie los van de abdij. Er was ook een soort winkel, gesloten echter. Mogelijk is het er beter op afspraak of andere dagen/tijden. Of als gast. Rijd er als spontaan belangstellende echter niet zomaar voor om.

Gedeelte als Jeugdheem is correct. Er is alles om een kamp te laten doorgaan maar luxueus is het er niet. Wel veel veilige speelruimte buiten. Redelijk gemakkelijk te bereiken via de autosnelweg. Ruime parking

Affligem Abbey is a Benedictine abbey in the municipality of Affligem, Flemish Brabant, Belgium, 19 km to the north-west of Brussels. Dedicated in 1086, it was the most important monastery in the Duchy of Brabant and therefore often called Primaria Brabantiae.
