This museum is situated on an ancient airbase (WWII till 90's) and is kept alive thanks to volunteers. The planes, flight engines, trucks, pilot suits, survival kits, guns, and so many more are original pieces. And they are displayed just in front of you. You can even touch most of the items. It makes your experience ever so real. The volunteers will explain to you with enthousiasm and rightfull proudness the history and function of the site, the airplanes that are displayed on the grounds, the workings of the different flight engines to how an ejector seat of a jet fighter works etc. They know it all. The museum has a very nice collection of airplanes, vehicles and more for different eras and an nice overview of the history of the airbase, all fully maintained and supported by a group of volunteers. This includes a C-130 Hercules, several F-104 Starfighters and a Mig 21bis.
