fantastic place for a family with children, free parking behind the museum, entrance through the information office, extremely cheap admission, the receptionist did not speak English, but lady was very very kind and we were communicating via google translator without any problem, inside there are many fossils that children are not very interested in, but the rest was great, the mine, the skeleton of iguanodon, events for children, completely without people, at the reception you can buy souvenirs, toilet available, I fully recommend to visit this nice small museum

The meseum is located in the building of the tourism office. It is actually bigger than what you would expect from the outside. And also less old-fashioned than I was anticipating they have immersive decors, a well-done video of how the dinosaur skeletons were discovered, interactive displays with games, etc). It's a great stop over for the kids on your way to other places like Tournai or Ath. Very positively surprised. The visit would take about 60-90 minutes.
