Rocher du Hat — Attraction in Chiny

Standing on top of the rock to look over the beautiful forest with river winding around. very nice hiking trails, too. Definitely worth spending some time relaxing in the beautiful nature! Few precautions:

1. GoogleMaps route guide was good only up to the parking. It said 5 minutes of walk after parking the car, but NO WAY, it is a good 20-30 minutes of trekking per way from the parking, depending on you fitness. GoogleMaps trajectory of the trails after the parking were just wrong and quite useless, which brings us to the next point.
2. you need to find a tiny sign of “Hat” indicating the relative little trail branching from the gravel road from the parking (the first photo). It can be easily missed and the other trail will guide you completely different part of the forest.
3. it is a 20-30 minutes/way of uphill trail to get to the rock. You don’t need full-spec hiking boots, but still better to go with a good pair of shoes. Trying it with sandals are not recommended.
4. there are more than a few trails around here, which are very nice mini-hiking. Having said that, these trails branch in many ways, making it very easy to get lost in the forest. If you are coming with children, I recommend you keep your eyes on, or children can end up getting lost while wondering in this beautiful (but can be treachery) forest. Het uitzicht verdient zeker 5 sterren maar de wandeling er naartoe was niet spectaculair veel recht toe recht aan boslanen daarom 4 sterren. Gele bordjes gevolgd met 25 erop. Verwarrend op een splitsing want rechts en links een geel 25 bordje. Als je links aan houdt heb je de wandeling van ongeveer een uurtje. Rechts ga je snel naar het uitzichtpunt en kun je daarna het lange stuk van de route volgen of snel terug. Keuzes keuzes. Het is in ieder geval een rondwandeling. Na 45 minuten op het bankje bovenaan gezeten te hebben en genoten van de rust en het uitzicht wilde ik verder maar kon moeilijk afscheid nemen van t prachtige plekje. Okay route vervolgd naar beneden.. toen kwam ik op een punt waar geen links of rechts stond aangegeven. Echt die Belgen weer hoorde ik mezelf zeggen. Boucle de +/- 5km pour une durée de 1h30⌚ Niveau facile. 🚶

Suivre la balise "triangle jaune qui peut parfois devenir un losange jaune" numéro 25. À un moment donné il y a un carrefour avec plusieurs balises (2 triangles jaunes, un losange jaune). Suivre le triangle jaune qui va vers la gauche. Lorsqu'on arrive sur un chemin de pierres après le rocher prendre à droite et l'on arrive au point de départ.

Cette promenade se déroule dans une forêt ombragée. 🌲🌳
