I'm Belgian myself and found that this museum is far more interesting than the ages old, badly cleaned 'exhibitions' in the citadel etc., if you're in Dinant I would recommend doing the detour. The medieval museum is more the history of the are going way back. Many of its artifacts are from archeological diggings. It is very interesting and well organized with a free audio device as part of the 4 euro entry fee. The lady at the entry is very pleasant and helped us New Zealanders understand.
