At the end of a trip around a plethora of sites, it was good to finish here. To recognise the effects of war on the Irish population, regardless of regiment. More poignant after visiting flanders fields museum and 3 of us each hearing about 3 different Irish men in Ww1.

Amazing place! The tower is beautiful, you can enter and get a better feel of the building. The testimonies printed in the stones are touching. Peaceful place, just walk around, enjoy the views and think about the absurdity of war.

Very nice memorial park for all of the Irish men who died in WW1. The tower is an accurate reproduction of a real stone tower that is a symbol of Irish defiance and desire to protect the weak from a thousand years ago.

A remembrance cemetery for the Irish lives lost in the First World War, well kept, informative, and nice views of the surrounding landscape. There is also a little walk further past the large tower if you head towards the gate at the far side of the cemetery. Go through the gate, oast the small pond, and you come to a reed sculpture/ viewing platform. There are some picnic...

The Ireland peace Park is very well done it's artistic but it also has some excellent quotes and some moving areas of contemplation and thought it is a shame however that you cannot climb into the tower anymore that would definitely add to the imposing presence of the...
