We really enjoyed this Chateau. Easy to get there from Huy. Lovely walk direct from the carpark afterwards. The entry fee included an excellent audio guide (in multiple languages - we chose English) which mostly was the right length to keep you moving from room to room. Still quite a bit of pre-revolution furniture and tapestries. The ceiling decor is particularly fine. As an Englishman I'm not used to seeing tapestries since many were lost during our civil war. Reminded me a little of Cragside in Northumberland where similar enterprising engineering took place. We took lunch in the nearby village Pont-de-Bonne (choice of 6 - we ate at the hotel touriste!) then spent perhaps 2h30 in the castle and gorunds, then 2h30 walk on nearby land (Hint - Get a walks map from the tourist office in the local village). ...

The interior has been fantastically preserved and the informative audio tour gives a great insight into how it must have been to live there. Entering through a forest and tree lined avenue, you pass under a grand gateway into a courtyard with fountain and the chateau in front of you.
