Franchimont Castle — Attraction in Theux

Former defense fort of Liège, the castle can be visited alone or with an audio guide. Well located in a green setting, it is pleasant to let yourself go to imagine it in its heyday, because although under renovation, the ruins are there to remind us that it was not spared. Positive side of this fact: one can appreciate and realize the quantity of stones which it was necessary to bring to carry out this work, and the genius of the Man to arrive there. Had a very lovely time at this castle looking around with a paper guide. You could walk around the castle for free. If I recall correctly it was EUR 7 for each adult to enter, which was a reasonable price considering that you could descend into 4 very impressive cave/cellars, with very steep steps, and see those areas.
