Kayaks La Vanne - Descente de la Semois — Attraction in Vresse-sur-Semois

We did not book our kayaks here because they had none available, but we did have a very unpleasant encounter with their staff when we arrived in Vresse by kayak through a different company. All three companies get off at the same site, and it seems like there’s some competition between them. They were in such a hurry to drag their boats onto shore that they dragged the boats over the bare feet of my mother in law, hurting her a lot and when she yelled out in pain and we told them off they didn’t care at all and proceeded to drag the boats, even though a small child was standing in the way and they almost knocked her over as well. None of them apologized and just implied that we needed to disappear into thin air. Extremely rude...

Super wonderful and kind ladies who welcome you, speak different languages from english, french, dutch to explain all the process. We took the Poupehan 11 km trip. They drove us to the start and we ended up at the La Vanne reception. The entire trip took 1.5 hrs for us without stops but you can always choose to take breaks. There is a changing room if you are wet when you are back. Next time we will definitely take the longer one. We had a great time. Much more peaceful than expected. Truly blissful to float and watch nature around you. And occasionally nicely challenging to plan the best route to not get hung up on rocky bits. The water was a little low, so at times I had to get out and pull/push to get off a rocky bit. It did rain a bit during the journey, but we had jackets with hoods, so not really an issue. Those who run the place are truly beautiful people. Again I have to say we were both really happy for the experience and would absolutely do it again if we return...
