Club de Ski Alpin d'Ovifat — Attraction in Waimes

Yeah, 40cm of semi-fresh snow in Ardennes! We have to try skiing here. It will be no miracle, but maybe a descent possibility to train the younger one. The first problem: Belgium is maybe a small country but a densely populated one. And as it seems, practically all inhabitants get the same idea. So what invited us was not fresh air, but a dense thick smell of burnt diesel :) 1 hour of queuing in and looking for parking place. Snow was beautiful, slopes as expected, so no problem there. But it was not skiing but waiting, waiting and waiting. We went 4 times in 5 hours. And we tried. To organizers: do not sell so much tickets!!! Only up to a maximal capacity. To potential skiers: buy just one ticket for the whole family. Will be more then enough... And in the end my wife's skis got stolen. To the poor thing: your karma will take care for you and you will get what you deserve :) For now enjoy the groomed slopes of Ovifat. PS: it could be nice...

Snowboarding is not allowed???? They couldn’t give me a reasonable explanation. Please reconsider the rules because this is not 1980… I did some sleighing as well wich was fun. But I can tell you that the sleighing is much more dangerous than snowboarding. If skiing is allowed than snowboarding...

Une véritable honte ! Parking a 4€ non surveillé. Personnel désagréable au possible. 1h30 d'attente dans le froid pour louer des skis et des chaussures qui datent d'au moins dix ans. Attente énorme pour pouvoir payer son entrée. Encore un file énorme pour acheter son ski pass. Et enfin comptez 45min d'attente au tire fesse. En somme vous payer 25€ par personne pour passer votre journée à attendre debout dans le froid avec 3 descente à la cle si vous avez de la chance. La où c'est honteux c'est que le matériel n'est strictement pas entretenu ni remplacé par du récent ou alors très peu mais le pire est encore le personnel qui n'en a rien a faire et trouve limite normal de vous attendre dans le froid de longues heures pour obtenir votre matériel. C'était la dernière ! Bon courage a ceux qui tenteront en période de...
