CAVE TUBING- OUR EXPERIENCE -Guides- friendly, jokey, knowledgeable about caves -Fitness- minimal effort required beyond a jungle walk carrying a tube, relaxed swimming and getting awkwardly in and out of tubes -Overall- we had a large group of 16 tied together and there wasn't much river flow so experience was quite slow with guides having to swim to pull us along, enjoyed getting out for a swim in the caves and river, great activity for all ages and families

Read moreFirst, the website is very easy to navigate and book. We recommend you use whatsapp to communicate with the staff after you book, made everything easy. They sent me a pin drop of the location where we would meet our guide who was going to have a sign with our name on it since there are so many tour companies and guides at that pickup place. We gave him a ride since the facility is deep into the mountain from the main road where we met. You have the choice to pay either card or cash. They have so many tours that you can mix match them on the drop selection on their page or just pick one. We did just the cave. It was $55 UDS per person. If you pay with a card, they charge an additional 10% for the transaction fee. They give you a life jacket and a helmet with a light. The tour was about 1.5 from arrival to finish. We hiked about 20 minutes on a shortcut route, then got in the tubes. We saw other people carrying their tubes on the hike, and our guide, CHRISTOPHER, told us that they are the only tour company that has the tubes on-site waiting for the tourists. I said, "We are the lucky one by picking you guys!" Our guide was nice, answering all questions our kids have about the jungle, cave, animals, trees, etc. Nice young man, about 19 to 20 years old, who grew up and lives in the area. So he knows the flora, fauna, and what they Mayans use the different trees for. The parking lot is big. They have gift shops and bathrooms at the location. Some gift shops only take cash, and others take both cards or cash. We loved the experience. They sell waterproof phone cases so your phone doesn't get wet if you want to take photos. I've done many caves in the past, but this one was amazing! Right before you enter the cave, you look up and are in awe about how beautiful the entrance looks with formations hanging down. Simple beautiful. This is a must, in my opinion, since there are only 3 places in the world that have this type cave system. I would definitely do this again without any hesitation. And we would use JAGUAR PAW CAVE AND JUNGLE EXPEDITION tour company for the adventure. Nice family...
Read moreAmazing caves! Must do in Belize. There are tons of different tour companies that will guide you, you must go down the river with a guide. To get to the start of tubing it’s about a 30 minute walk through the jungle, lather on the bug spray!! Our guide told us after the walk that some companies charge an extra $5 usd for someone to carry your tube there for you lol, I would have paid in a heartbeat. I would suggest wearing some sort of water shoes/sandals for the trip, swimsuit and even light clothes over if you want. There’s tons of little shops outside if you forget anything. I would bring your phone or camera! You can swim at this little cove before entering the cave, but other than that you won’t get drenched. I think we tubbed for around an hour. But depends on the time of year and how fast the current is. They will not operate if there’s any flood warnings. We went during off season in august so not many people at all. Apparently during high season nov-may it’s thousands of tubes next to each other. The cave experience is so cool, crystal...
