Amazing! Would go back today if I could!! Almost booked ATV tour with another company but so happy to have found this place instead!! This amazing tiered waterfall sits on private property and part of Mayan World Destinations in Stann Creek, which also provides horse rides, ATV tours, zip lines, rappelling and river tours. We enjoyed the falls for 2 hours and did the one hour ATV tour, which was perfect for us rather than the waterfall ATV tour because we wanted more time alone at falls. $10 to enter park all day, $60 for full hour ATV tour. Everything was fantastic! The falls are amazing! If you have your own transportation you can simply drive from park entrance to parking at falls. It does take about 20 minutes to reach but a nice drive through citrus farm trees and river. Park and walk right into the falls and explore!! with several swimming areas, stairs, platforms and plenty of room to enjoy. We were the only ones there this weekday in September. The water is not iced cold. There is a bar/restaurant at foot of falls but was not open. The atv tour was simple but fun, we had a nice muddy ride after some rain. Only 30 minutes from Hopkins village near the Placencia street turn, but not much in route. There is a restaurant outside of park entrance but we didn’t stop in, looked like outdoor seating only. Read moreWe drove about 25 minutes from our hotel on Placencia Peninsula to get there. It is easily accessible off of the main highway. You pull in and check in at the gate where you can buy tickets/entry to each thing you want to do. If you want to do horseback riding, it’s best to buy in advance. We bought tickets to do zip lining and to see the waterfall. For zip-lining, you drive like 10 minutes through rough, bumpy dirt roads to the start. Fill out your waiver and then enjoy the seven lines across the gorgeous river. Fernando did an excellent job and was so friendly! It took about 35 minutes with three people. If you have a larger group it will take longer. For the waterfall, you drive to a different part of the park where you show the person at the gate your entry ticket. From there it’s a short drive to the parking lot and a 2 minutes walk to the falls. There are three falls, a small one at the bottom, a little big bigger one, and then the larger falls with a platform to jump in and a deep swimming hole. You can also climb up part of the falls and jump in. Entry to the falls was $10 USD a person Zip lining was $73...
Read moreI'm from Canada. During a month long backpacking trip to Belize, I visited the waterfall. Took the bus from Mango Creek heading to Belize City and got off in Santa Cruz. From there, I paid the $20.00 Belize entry fee at the office, which is just off the highway on the road where Google shows the business location. Unlike most, I decided to walk the roughly 5 km from the office to the actual waterfall. The walk took just under an hour each way and made the swim much more enjoyable. The walk is somewhat senic at times and was relatively easy. I was there during the wet season, so water was running over the road in a few spots. Because of this, I wore my flip-flops for most of the walk. Apparently, most people pay for the tour, which includes atv's or a van ride to the site. I always wanted to swim in a tropical waterfall pool. So this was a bucket list item for me. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and it was well worth the price of admission. The buildings on sight are also very interesting with a ton of character. The whole place is very senic. This is a special place, and I recommend anyone who is in Belize to...
