It was a five day trek with one day stay at the base camp. It takes two days of halt at Thangthangka to reach Jomolhari Base Camp. And, honestly this is a must visit! The first day may be a bit too long but the trail is gently sloped along the Paro Chu banks. You can enjoy the serene alpine vegetation. There are also few spectacular waterfalls on the way and often marmots can be in your sights. And the mountain view is just beautiful!!!

Today at Jumolhari base camp, we have a group of 13 people. We arrived yesterday and set up camp at 4100. Luckily, we have a spot to charge all of our equipment, and the mobile network is holding up well. The weather is a bit cloudy, but still quite nice. Our crew includes horses, a camp cook, and assistants. Everything has been hauled in from Thimphu, and this marks our second day on the Yaksa trek. We're excited to push forward and complete the trek in just 5 more days!

It is the most common tourist camp site. They halt their night here to enjoy an incredible view of Mountain Jomolhari which is about 7,332m above sea level.

It has now electricity and toilets for tourists. If you are lucky enough, you will get chance to see Jomolhari in a extraordinary view which right in front of you!

Many tourists enjoy their gradual ascend to the base camp through woods and along the river. It will be your lifetime experience!
