The river bank at Manas National Park offers a truly refreshing and memorable experience, making it an excellent destination for anyone seeking a peaceful outing amidst nature. My recent visit there was really good, and I can confidently recommend it to friends, family, and couples alike. What immediately stands out is the serene beauty of the place. The gentle flow of the Manas River, with the lush greenery of the park on its banks, creates a picturesque setting perfect for relaxation and picnics. It’s an ideal spot to unwind, listen to the sounds of nature, and enjoy quality time with loved ones. The natural ambiance is captivating, offering a much-needed break from the hustle and bustle of city life. Whether you're looking to simply sit by the water, enjoy a packed lunch, or even try some birdwatching, the river bank provides a tranquil backdrop. The overall experience was very positive, and the natural beauty of the location is definitely its biggest draw. However, there are a couple of areas that could significantly enhance the visitor experience. The parking facilities could definitely use an upgrade. Better organization and clearer markings would make it more convenient for visitors, especially during peak times. Additionally, some thoughtful decorations or enhanced amenities along the river bank, perhaps more well-maintained seating areas or waste disposal units that blend with the natural environment, would further elevate its appeal as a...
Read moreThe rest house is situated at southern bank of Beki river in Indo-Bhutan border. Amazing location with river, mountains and plains. A perfect amalgamation of himalayan, terai and flood plain habitats. A perfect escape from daily hussle. Indulge yourself in scenic beauty of Manas and Royal Manas National Park. One can easily spot wreathed hornbills, great hornbills, capped langur and Malayan giant squirrel right in the vicinity of the rest house. Gathering of the herd of the wild buffalos at the river bank with the setting sun at the back drop is an amazing view one can ever watch. The rest house comprises of two bungalows. Rooms are spacious, limited power supply through power generators. A busy person can also catch some news via television when there is power. Bathrooms are clean and have running water supplies. A jungle canteen is operating there to cater the need of the visitors. Food is good and available at reasonable price. No connectivity from any of the mobile...
Read morePlace is scenic. But it is no longer a picnic spot where one can cook by themselves. Important Information for people who goes for picnic is to avoid going to this place as cooking is not allowed in this spot. For picnic, one just need to take left turn just before the entry gate.
If you missed this point, you will end up paying entry fee for personal and vehicle and apparently lose your valuable time by going to Mathanguri as the road is very poor gravel road. Hardly you can drive 20 Km/hr. Apparently you will lose daylight of approximate 2 hours.
My recommendation is to avoid cooking arrangement as the picnic spot where cooking is allowed is outside the range is very crowded and not at all good due to dusty environment in the downstream of the river. Better take ready to eat food and enjoy the day in Mathaguri itself or eat outside. There are few restaurants available just before the entry gate and one on the right side just after...
