Amen Bhutan Tours and Treks Pvt Ltd — Attraction in Thimphu District

Myself and Wife went on a Sight Seeing cum Bird Watching Trip of 10 days to WesternBhutan in March 2024. We had given all Hotel Booking, Providing Gudie, Vehicle etc complete arrangements to be made by Amen Bhutan.

Don't be fooled by me giving a rating of 4. All the arrangements done by Amen Bhutan were excellent and deserved a 5 star rating. Only reason I gave one star less is the from the start of Initial Negotiation, I had mentioned Bird Watching as one of our requirement. Mr. Akash Thapa from their office quoted us a price for the trip in which he had detailed the plan for Bird Watching. At the time of actual booking, he said Bird Guide Costs more and to pay extra which I flatly refused. So they gave us a guide who was very good in Sight Seeing, but he was learning Bird Watching, but not so knowledgeable about birds.

They have given us a very good fairly new good SUV vehicle with a good driver, good guide in Mr Rinjo who helped us in every way in all respects. ( His birding knowledge was limited, but he tried his level best to make our objective successful). Both Driver Mr Shanje and Guide were very accomodative and helped us in every aspect. All the hotels they provided us were very good and convenient. We stayed for 2 days with a family in their real farm house at Phoebjika Valley. Though we didn't expect much amenities in a farm house, the lady of the house went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. We did not have any inconvenience there. We were happy with a unique stay with local family. All the Hotels and Restaurants they provided us were having good nutritious, hygeinic and tasty food of our choice. Indian Food as well as Continental Food.

We (my wife and I) are just back in Mumbai after a truly fulfilling trip to Bhutan. The tour was nicely planned by Mr Zaid of MMT. It was a divine experience. Serene landscapes, breathtaking scenery, the richness of Buddhist culture, and above all, the humility and honesty of the people.

What made the journey even more special were two wonderful gentlemen who welcomed us at Paro airport and stayed by our side throughout the trip-Mr. Kinzang Thinley and Mr. Chimi Rinzin. Their warmth, dedication, and tireless efforts turned our holiday into something unforgettable.

They went far beyond their call of duty, fulfilling our wishes with patience and joy. From guiding and encouraging us during the Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest) trek, to arranging an archery session when we expressed interest, to helping us choose the perfect Bhutanese attire. They were with us like family at every step.

What touched us most was their generosity. They arranged little surprises, treats, and even gifts for us, at times spending from their own pocket. They also hosted prayer flags for us, making us feel deeply blessed. They ensured that our money is optimally utilised.

This journey will always remain close to our hearts, and we are certain we will return to Bhutan again, because it already feels like home, thanks to Mr. Kinzang...
