I will start with two things: 1. My bag was lost between flights, so I only had some summer clothes and trekking sneakers. due to that, I will only describe first and easier part of the trail. 2. I'm quite fit, but I don't have much experience in mountain trekking. When: 30th of August, start around 7.30 Where: from Sedlo to the stone marking 1,5h to the peak Time: 3 hours 20 min including short breaks for water and 10min break for snack In Sedlo you will find small parking where Guard will collect fee for entering National Park (3€/person). Keep the ticket, you will need it to go to the black lake. Trail is really well marked, you just need to be careful at crossroads, because all the trails are marked the same (red dot with white center) For sure you need proper hiking shoes-trail was quite slippery and rocky. There where parts I wished for better shoes than terrex sneakers. The weather was changing constantly. From cold and windy to sunny and hot. Definitely you want to wear good hiking clothes. Climbing gloves could be useful. It was not crowded , but few people started with me. Sometimes the path is narrow, so if you've got good rate you will need to wait to overtake. If you need ' bathroom ' brake you have to find a hidden place between rocks. Near the start there is a part of a trail which you have to climb using the rope installed in the rocks. The views are amazing, especially when the weather is fine and clouds aren't covering the landscape.

Did today hike to the viewpoint just before the summit peak but above the pass (red marker on screenshot). Hike to the pass: The hike itself can be considered of medium/hard difficulty due to the rock scrambling required. There is a cabled section as well as some steep incline portions but nothing too crazy for experienced hikers. Definitely good hiking shoes are needed, especially on the return. Can be challenging for non avid hikers. Hike from pass to scientic viewpoint (red marker): This is the section in which people mentioned snow. We saw a few people pass on the snow, but without crampons I do not believe it's worth the risk. That's why instead we walked around the snow section on loose rocks - if you look closely at the photo you can see a person who does exactly that. Viewpoint to summit: Haven't done it. It's the most dangerous part with confusing trail, snow and step rock scrambling. Personal opinion: Making it to the scenic viewpoint above the pass is extremely rewarding. The views are amazing.

It was euphoric, we went there right after we had some issues on the border and got into a rather sticky situation, but eventually got past. But we had a nice dinner with some red wine and next day we challenged the summit. We were prepared with some hungarian palinka made by peti, which was our only motivation during the trip. I was in shorts which was kinda funny seeing that other people climbed in full mountaineering equipment. We had really bad weather conditions but we managed to summit the kuk in 7 hours and 30 minutes (which is nice considering that it is 8 hours to climb it on average). We had some peti at the top and then proceeded to decline the summit. We then smoked some dzsumbobumbo and headed back to the car. It was a nice experience overall. :)

The 101 hike is challenging especially if you trek too late. Started the journey at 9 and it was too late. The August heat is exhausting, about 35 degrees Celsius. Be wise and start earlier than that because it is a hell of a journey. I like hiking, biking and all that, but even for me it was hard in the heat. Bring lots of water, at least more than 1,5 litre per person if it is a hot day. The walk on the 101 is 10,8 to the top and 10,8 on the way back if you choose to go down the same path. There is climbing to be made on certain passages especially near the top. It is not to play with and you must be prepared to climb this or you will be exhausted fast. The top, wonderful. The walk, wonderful. The heat, devils work. Overall, I truly recommend the hike.

Amazing views. Took 3 hours to the top and around 2:30 go down from the Prevoj Sedlo. There was one scary and dangerous part for me on the peak itself, which is not so scary for others what I saw, so maybe just me. Start your hike as early as possible, as weather might change quickly and locals told it usually starts raining after the mid-day. We got rain while going back, rocks became slippery as ice and we were happy we are almost near our car. I hope no one was hurt that day. It is much harder peak than I used to climb in High Tatra, Rysy and others. Near Prevoj Sedlo parking, they charge you €5/each. Keep that ticket, so you won't need to pay when you go to the Black lake.

One of the best hikes of my life. Hiked this on September 29th and we started at about 2pm and finished around sunset at about 6:10pm. It was tiring to move this fast on the hike but the sunset lighting was great. The wind at the parking lot was strong so we layered up but then most of the hike there was no wind and we ended up removing most of our layers. Be extra careful during the final 15 minutes of the hike—the rocks get a little less stable and by that point you’re tired—I had one small slip that made me slow down. But overall, this was a highlight of our trip to Montenegro
