A salt house containing salt sculptures and tables and a slightly sad array of international flags in various states of disrepair on a raised dias with tons of people milling around taking selfies and pictures. Interestingly, the USA flag was not among them, or if it is, I did not see it. The one that looks like it in the attached picture is in fact the Liberian flag, with the Israeli one in the corner where the stars on the US flag would be. Maybe a not so subtle juxtaposition? There's also the nearby salt monument commemorating the Dacar motor races held here that caused all manner of damage to the salt flats. The flats themselves are the real attraction so I was glad we only stopped here briefly and had our lunch in the peace and quiet away...
