Curahuara de Carangas is an absolute gem – often called the “Sistine Chapel of the Andes” – and it truly lives up to the name. The church is breathtaking with its unique history, vivid murals, and warm spiritual atmosphere.

A special highlight of my visit was meeting Father Jacek, a Polish priest serving here. He is an incredible person – warm, welcoming, and full of genuine kindness. He took the time to explain the history and meaning of the church, sharing not only knowledge but also his heart. His passion and openness made the experience unforgettable and deeply personal.

Bin normalerweise nicht so der Fan von Kirchenbesichtigungen. Aber hier lohnen sich die 30 Bs Eintritt allemalls. Die Frescos innerhalb der Kirche sind wunderschön und interessant.
