The reserve is located in the southwestern part of Bolivia, close to the borders with Chile and it is a very important protected area. It covers an area of 7.45 sq. klm and it includes the famous Laguna Colorada and Laguna Verde, among other lakes. In addition, there are two settlements inside the National Reserve, Quetena Chico and Quetena Grande. We slept in shared bedrooms and ocassionaly a salt hotel. The landscapes constantly reminded me of a surrealist painting or dream.
