Tupiza is a spectacular place, what makes it spectacular is theseb beautiful red colored mountains in both sides of the river! Getting to #Devilsdoor you can either go hiking alone or take a horse tour through an agency! We went there hiking, it is about one hour away from the center and it is very easy to get there, nearly flat! If you follow the railway to the south and then turn right towards the exit of the canyon! If you look at it on the maps it is super easy to find. After the road ends you just follow the river bed! It is a spectacular place to see! You can continue much longer after Devils door while the canyon continues! It is totally worth trying out! I believe by horse it will be also nice, it just depends on your point of view!

It’s a great walk from the centre of town, not too long and you can carry on to the Cañon del Inca. Not a difficult walk, about 3.5h return, make sure you have sufficient water with you as it gets hot. Well marked once in the canyon river bed and safe. Many other people visiting and horse riders too. Plenty of photo opportunities.

In my top five in Bolivia without question at all. Road Is flat and really simple to handle. Make sure you visit all three stations, there are signs and a really clear and marked path. To my surprise, I was almost the only soul along the entire route (about 4 hours round trip).

Beautiful place to visit - short drive/tuk tuk out of Tupiza. We were lucky enough to chat to the guardaparque ranger…he was fabulous and wanted to share all the history and show us the Inca rock art (on the red rock to the left - across the parking area) from the Devils Door path. We went on to canon del Inca. Even some tables in the shade for a picnic. Great few hours...
