Bosnia 🇧🇦- the perfect day trip from Dubrovnik ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dubrovnik is really close to the border with Bosnia. And one of the most amazing city of Bosnia is located 2h30 away from Dubrovnik, it’s Mostar! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Mostar was named after the bridge keepers (mostari) who in the medieval times guarded the Stari Most (Old Bridge) over the Neretva. The Old Bridge, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s most visited landmarks, and is considered an exemplary piece of Islamic architecture in the Balkans. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ On your way back to Dubrovnik, don’t forget to stop at Kravica waterfalls, it’s a lovely place where you can go for a swim 🏊♀️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #bosnia #mostar #daytrip #visitbosnia #balkans #dubrovnikdaytrip #visitmostar #visitbalkan #pathlesstraveled #happy #girltraveler

Chasing waterfalls 🩵💦 Have you been to this wonder of nature yet? The Kravica Waterfall is one of the most precious jewels of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it is a large tuff cascade waterfall on the Trebižat River that drops 25 meters into a crystal clear turquoise pool - it is so beautiful that it looks like it comes straight out of a fairytale - the waterfall is only 40 km away from Mostar and can be reached by car or a organized day trip, but I prefer to go by car because I don't really like group activities that much - the entrance fee to the park is only €10 - in summertime you can also swim in the water in front of the falls, so you can admire them up close, how cool is that - the popularity of the Kravica is still on the rise, so hurry to visit one of the best kept secrets of this beautiful country . . . 📍Kravica Waterfall - Bosnia and Herzegovina 2023 . . . #bosnia #herzegovina #kravica #chasingwaterfalls #kravice #waterfalls #bosniaherzegovina #kravicewaterfalls #visitbosnia #girlstwirltheworld #travelbook #traveling #girlsborntravel #girlswhotravel #globetrotter #roamtheworld #femmetravel #exploretheworld #globetrekker #travelgirl #travelinspiration #wanderwomen #traveldiaries #tripadvisor #explorerbabes #dametraveler #girlsdreamtravel #lonelyplanet #beautifuldestinations #wanderlust

🚘: 𝐃𝐮𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐧𝐢𝐤, 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐚 🇭🇷 𝐭𝐨 𝐁𝐨𝐬𝐧𝐢𝐚 & 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐳𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐚 🇧🇦 Country No. 103 Just across the border from Dubrovnik, Croatia lies Bosnia & Herzegovina. Within a few hours, we visited so many incredible cities. Our guide took us through a special border control point where there was absolutely no line. Our car was the only one passing by. We started in a quaint little town called Stolac where you will mainly find locals. We continued on to Mostar where the iconic Mostar Old Bridge is situated. Mostar is great for landmarks, trying out local cuisine, souvenir shopping at one-fifth prices compared to Dubrovnik and people watching. We continued our journey towards the Kravice Waterfalls where swimming is a lot of fun! It is much needed on a hot summer day. Finally it is worth visiting the little town of Pocitelj famous for the Sisman Ibrahim Pasha Mosque. 📍 Bosnia & Herzegovina 🇧🇦 . . . . . #instagramreels #trendingreels #gltlove #wearethetravelgirls #traveltagged #traveladdicted #iphonephotography #travelmom #damestravel #femmetravel #dametraveler #nycblogger #journeysofgirls #speechlessplaces #beautifuldestinations #wonderfulplaces #cntraveller #travelandleisure #womentravel #luxurytravel #bangladeshi #visitsweden #visitstockholm #familyreunion #visitcroatia #visitbosnia #croatiadaytrip #bosniadaytrip #bosnia

Kravice Waterfalls, nestled in the heart of Croatia, is a destination that encapsulates the raw power and sublime beauty of nature. The allure of this place is so strong that it truly has to be seen to be believed. The key highlight of Kravice, without doubt, is the stunning waterfall itself. Stretching across 120 meters, the falls are a mesmerizing sight, particularly during spring when they are at their most powerful. Witnessing the water thunder down into the emerald pool below is an awe-inspiring experience that resonates with every visitor. The mist created by the falls adds a mystical touch to the spectacle, making it a sight straight out of a fairy tale. Adding to the charm of Kravice is the opportunity to swim in the cool waters of the lake at the base of the waterfalls. Whether it's to refresh after a day of exploring or simply to soak in the beauty of the surroundings, the lake provides a unique opportunity to commune with nature in a delightful way. The surrounding area is equally captivating, marked by lush greenery and diverse plant life that form a perfect backdrop to the falls. An extensive network of trails allows visitors to explore this vibrant landscape, providing a fascinating journey for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. If you are into picnicking, there are numerous spots around the falls where you can enjoy a meal amidst the sounds and sights of the waterfall, making for an unforgettable dining experience. .

Amazing place for the nature lover. New parking spots are being built just prior to the entrance, so if you intend to drive (40 min from Mostar), you should find some parking. However, this could fill up in peak season, so come early. The entrance fee, at time of writing, is reasonable, 20 KM (16 AUD, 11 USD or 10 Euro) for adults, and 10KM for kids over 7. You will have to walk 130 metres from the entrance to the waterfall and watch for the slippery cobblestones, particularly as it's mostly downhill. Once you get there, the view is breathtaking. You can swim, but the water is icy cold (bear this in mind if you are bringing children), not that that bothered me. I enjoyed a swim in the opposite direction to the waterfall. If you are here for hiking or walking, there are plenty of maps online to guide you. Ensure that you bring appropriate gear for the season. There are places to eat/drink and hire seats and sunshades. If you want to get closer to the waterfall you will have to pay extra. This payment will get you a very, very short boat ride closer to the waterfall, likely for a selfie or a close-up of the waterfall. Remember, this is a tourist destination, and it can get quite crowded at peak times, so if you'd like to avoid crowds, pick your time carefully.
