Our experience was somewhat typical. Everything about the nature was excellent and spectacular. The human-made part was poor, but always with a smile. Firstly I would like to admite good attitude of the manager at the reception, of our skipper Renato and of the lady at the main base office. They were friendly and helpful. Probably we did look like we need a lot of entertainment during the ride so we didn't get much. But it's OK - the silence is always better, the river gives it fully. To that I need to add an note of a general calmness of the ride itself - several minor obstacles, perfect for beginners, children and handicaped people. As for the negative side - the personal equipment requires much more attention since it is far from being new and solid. It's after-cleaning condition and hygienic level are low. The same should be said about the transportation van - a miserable and dirty vehicle. Only worse are the dressing rooms and clothes changing conditions. I guess in prisons it's like that. Comletely unacceptable! To round up the sad story I have to spotlight food and drinks which are provided. The so called "breakfast" is a pair of pastries (probably croissants) and apples. Bring your own coffee since the local coffee machine acts only like an ashtray. The "barbeque" is better - there is a fire and a lot of smoke! The pita bread is nice, even čevapi are good, especially for the hungry ones. If not counting peppers and tomatoes - that's all, folks! As a drink and dessert a maroon liquid is provided of an unknown origin and quality. Much healthier is to drink from the river. Which was, as I said, spectacular and remarkable, that's why I still may recommend...
Read moreThis easily lived up to all the expectations of previous reviews that I read before booking. Our family of four, kids 14yrs & 11yr, were transported from our accommodation in Sarajevo to and from the rafting location. communication with the tour operator was efficient and quick, even making sure to have extra veggies for our vegetarian daughter for the grilled lunch. Delicious.
Our guide, Faris, was humorous and thoughtful. We learned that April is when the water moves quickly, and so we were worried it’d be too slow and boring, but it did pickup after the lunch stop and there were some places to jump and ride the current, that made it extra trilling. At best class 3 rapids at the end of June, but still very fun and good for kids. Faris joked around with our son and made the day extra special. Gear is in good shape, guides are knowledgeable and speak good English, the location has lockers, showers, and coffee. Really nice outfit. They will supply booties for the feet and wetsuit overalls, as well as a water shell, life vest, and helmet. We highly recommend this experience. You need to bring cash to pay, a good attitude, and towels. And also, bring your own water bottle to throw in the boat and fill up along the way. Have fun, the water...
Read moreWe had a great day out with Sanel and his crew. Arrived early and Sanel helped me park (still not used to the right-hand drive cars). He explained the itinerary for the day and gave us a nice croissant for breakfast and soft drinks. Very nice staff. Picked out or gear and off we went in vans to the start point. Really beautiful scenery on the route. About 45mins later we were in the water and making our way downstream. I’ve never rafted before but our skipper Renato was very reassuring. Top guy and spoke excellent English. He kept us all entertained with interesting facts and jokes. The we stopped after about 90mins and had a swim in a deep pool. Opportunity to jump in also. Very refreshing and crystal clear water. BBQ and into the boat again. More rapids and chance to jump into one. Topped it off by jumping off a bridge. Might not be for everyone but I though Twas mighty craic. 10/10 for organisation, value for money,...
