There are 2 options to get there: by car and then do the trail or via the pyramid site. We went up from the city to the pyramid site, entrance fee - 5 mafks, if you want you can take a guide who will tell you about the history of the Pyramid of the Sun. We went up alone and continued on the trail to the fortress, keep in mind that the trail has a climb with a "respectable" angle :). A beautiful view opens up from the pyramid, worth going. We went down on the other side to the parking lot and from there along the...

Amazing site with beautiful view at the Visoko valley, olympic mountains around Sarajevo and big part of central Bosnian landscape in general. Place of medieval Bosnian Kingdom, palace where kings and queens use to stay. However, beside some modern walls and ancient castle left in ruins there is no table with information or any signs leading to it. No stairs or guide. If there were no pyramids project non of the foreign tourists and most of the local population would not even know...

If you choose to walk all the way wear some good shoes, the final part off the road is very steep! It took us around 40 minutes from the bottom. However if you choose to drive majority of it it shouldn't take too long. (A local did say it will be hard to drive up in bad snow/icy weather) The views of visoko are definitely worth it and the old ruins are very cool! The air is very fresh up there and feels amazing. There are some stray dogs on the way who are very cute! Take them...

Amazing view from the top and still a rare place to see if you like ruins. No entrance fee, no excavation, nothing. We camped overnight in the clearing at the top. It's a 5-10 minutes hike to the ruins from the clearing. There is a road to the clearing and also a restaurant and rooms for rent next to it.
