The Ostrozac Castle was one of the Largest and most Militarized Fortresses in Bosnia and Herzegovina and was mentioned in 1286 and took 100 years for the Ottomans to take over. The castle dates back to the 16th century when the Ottoman Turks established the Ottoman province of Bosnia. Read moreThe castle itself was in the beginning rased by the Romans. It was later adisonaly fortified by the Ottomans, and after awhile, the last part was finished by the Habsburgs. It is placed above the river Una and is surrounded by beautiful Bosnian scenery. Behind the castle walls there are many statues placed there by European artists. There are plans to restore the castle to it's former glory, with the plans to develope the whole region.
