Beautiful waterfalls worth visiting! I loved the walk (20 minutes - half an hour) through the forest to the falls (3 falls, there is one trail to the 1st and 2nd, and one to 3rd fall).
Just make sure to have a good sturdy shoes because of mud and slippery sections. It's really easy to find the entrance into the area of the Kozice Waterfalls. And once you enter there are banches, signs and fence on some parts of the trail.
How to get to entrance into the area of Kozice Waterfalls?
In Fojnica after turning toward Reumal rehabilitation center, just go straight by steep uphill, but asphalt (narrow) road. You will see signs for Slapovi Kozice. But there are no turns. After 8 km you will come to big junction and there you will see a picnic area Vladica Vrh. From here you will see sign: 4 km Slapovi Kozice. The road from the Vladica Vrh is macadam, but it's fairly good macadam suitable even for lower cars. After passing charming Dragacic village, with a lovely view of the canyon of Kozica river, you will also pass by one picnic area with a water source. It's possible to leave your car here and take a walk (around 20-30 minutes) , along the road to the entrance into the area of Kozice Waterfalls. At the entrance (big black gate) you will also see big...
Read moreI would recommend drivng ONLY through Fojnica, when you get to the Reumal (google it, so you get there first) then you will see signs to Kozice waterfalls and you can just follow it. It is partly narrow road, but nothing too bad. Only 4 last kilometers are macadam/ rocky road, but also doable with lower cars. Ca. 1.5 km before your goal will be parking place, next to spring water on the left side.
You can leave your car there and walk the rest (15 min) or you can drive the rest, there will be wide field where you can leave your car. Either way, stick to the same road, don't turn right and down as we did. It's steep, not for cars and leads to nowhere.
Waterfall itself is breathtaking, totally...
Read morenot suitable and very dangerous for little chidlren under 10years old. The road is tarmac for about 10km and very narrow from Fojnica till Waterfalls. Hiking equipment needed and recommended. We saw a snake on the road, probably venomous. The parking is just a wider dort road so your car is not safe. Right after we parked the car, we started the walk towars the waterfalls. The Forest road is also not singed right, we didnt know how long the road was and after 30m decided to go back beacuse our children got tired and were scared of wild animals (snakes mostly). Please be carefull and bring equipment, food and water. Definetly not suitable for families,...
