Again a Museum, but in the not-so-distant past it also had other, sad, role. It looks pretty bad and neglected or at least not well maintained. Modest and poor display in the museum. Considering what happened here in the Second World War, how decisive those battles were and how that warfare tactic is studied at military universities all over the world; definitely this place deserves much more dignity than it has now. During the Battle of the Neretva in 1943, Jablanica was the site of a successful raid by a group of Partisans led by Josif Broz Tito. A rail bridge over the river was blown up while a train was in the middle of crossing. There is a park and monument commemorating this action at the site. I was surprised that Museum still working. They are giving the best to keep that place open and nice. Maybe they should only clean the part outside, that we can see the Bridge better. I had a lot of fun in the gift shop. Man who is working there is soo honest, friendly and funny. Actually, I was very happy that I can buy cup for tea with big mistake... 😅🤣😅 new generations probably doesn't have a clue what about...
