Went there as a kid and honestly that trip was one of the best and most memorable ones I have ever been on till now. The pictures are of a recent trip there and unfortunately it was cloudy out so the wildlife was sparse as they often seek refuge in the woods on chilly days as our tour guide indicated. Therefore I would recommend going on a clear day to really capture the true essence and beauty of nature. Apart from not seeing as much wildlife as I would have liked to I had a splendid time there; from our arrival to our departure. Upon arrival the staff presented us with beverages (taking into consideration alcoholic consumers 😉). Our tour guide was super friendly and answered all questions we had. The food was AMAZING. I would suggest booking the spot by the lake ( I assume it's a lake). Looking forward to making more memories there.

Lovely little nature reserve with friendly reception and cool looking restaurant (sadly they close quite early and we arrived late). The tea garden is perfect for planning the day's route. The campsites are a few kilometres from the main buildings and can be a challenge to find. But they have a large open space, a toilet and a nice open shower with a donkey boiler (that gets lit for you). There's also a braai area and it seems quite secluded and quiet. The guard sleeps right there with you in his own bakkie, leaving early the next morning indicating the proximity to Gaborone. It's a nice and chilled piece of the African bush. Perfect to start your trip through Botswana!

The park is not too far away from Gaborone.. It's like 45 minutes to an hours drive. Game drives are between 9pm-11am, 2pm-4pm, 4pm -6pm. The park entry fees are 150 Botswana Pula for a 2 hr game drive. 100 Bwp to see the enclosed cheetah. Didn't get to see much on the game drive... but there's a Man made dam, some wild animals.. Grazers mostly for example Baboons, 2 Girraffes, warthogs and 4 rescued hyenas at the enclosed in the middle of the park. You really have to look. They offer snacks at the picnic area. There's a souvenir shop at the park as well as a restaurant. There's ample parking. The staff are super friendly and helpful.

its a small nature reserve just about 20 minutes drive from the heart of Gaborone, Botswana. I went on a 2-3 hours drive through the reserve. But as the first glimpse of Botswana wild life it was vry satisfying. We saw everything that we wanted to- Zebras, Hippos, Impalas and even the white Rhinos. The Cheetah enclosure was a bit sad as there is only one of them left (a female) currently and she looked sad. It is perfect trailer for the bigger game reserves such as Moremi, Chobe etc. and could be a great family day out. There is a restaurant and a small souvenir shop at the entrance. The ticket is about 325 Pulas, which include a packet of wafers and a bottle of water. our guide was very kind and stopped whenever we requested for taking photos. It was a great few hours in the afternoon. Even the drive from the Grand Palm hotel, where I was staying till the reserve was beautifu. If you are going for the afternoon trip, it could be hot and dry. so carrying an additional bottle of water could...

Still rustic as ever, if you looking for peace and quiet in the city then Mokolodi is your place..not much wildlife though, maybe because if he rugged n hilly terrain, most times I haven't seen much, but then again one needs good timing for game...same old trucks, rickety as ever but also worth the experience...and oh..did I mention the chalets..Well well...now that's the gem...for a weekend getaway no need to drive far, the Mokolodi chalets offer just that , the bush experience in the middle of suburbia, self catering too...so pack those cooler boxes, bring family or a few friends and enjoy an escape in the city like no other....and should you happen to go up to world's view, the conference venue side, don't miss out an opportunity uty to ask mmaagwe D, to make you her special friend fish...made with love n full of taste, I found myself having to sit down with her for the recipe...she's a gem that one...bon voyage...

Great, well-managed nature reserve. Friendly staff--except for one particular woman at front desk. Tour driver went out of his way to show us hippos and giraffe.

Nice serene bench area to sit at while waiting for your ride. Tour ride is very bumpy----and fun----extremely safe. Very safe, secure---yet naturally preserved area. You will feel like you are truly riding through the bush. There is SO MUCH to see and learn--from plant life to wild animals. Rescued animals and wild animals alike.

Best time to go---anytime, really. But, it's easier to enjoy in the fall, winter, and early spring. You can reserve a tour ride for your group, yourself, or simply take a ride with strangers and enjoy yourself!

Our ride was in the early afternoon, during the week, in the fall time. And YES, we will return. Well worth the money. Make sure to tip your driver for doing...
