The temple has special shrines for Lord Jupiter, Lord Brahmma, Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. Lord Vishnu appears in Narasimha form. People go round the temple on the ‘Guru Brahmma-Guru Vishnu’ mantra principle. This is a rare form in the temple. In the entrance hall, the statue of Sarabeswara quelling the fury of Narasimha is splendidly sculpted. The very stepping into the temple ensures all prosperity to the devotee. Brahmma appears with turmeric dressing on all Thursdays. Brhamma is the authority for the Jupiter planet. It is the general belief of the people that the aspect of Brahmma would fall only on such persons whose bad destinies would change for good. It is said that those with lesser sins and the devotees would have their fate corrected. Even attack of diseases will change. Pregnant women get easy deliveries without surgeries. Waste expenses do not occur. A student, habitually failing will start shining. But Lord Brahmma does not entertain unreasonable and unjust petitions, on the contrary such prayer attempts would worsen the situation. In one Mandap, the entire Narasimha Avatara episodes are beautifully sculpted. The musical pillars in the temple represent the story of Ravana attempting to lift Mount Kailash and begging Lord Shiva’s pardon with his Sama Gana singing skill. The Shodasalings with its 16 stripes worshipped by Lord Brahmma is in a special Mandap. The roof is made of wood. There is a story that Sage Patanjali with snake legs and author of astrological science attained Siddhi (salvation) in 10 shrines. This is one among them. His Samadhi (Tomb) is in the temple. It is believed that he is still alive and continues to write the Yoga Sutras. The sage still graces mankind from his tomb authoring holy books. Kanchi Seer (Periaval) once explained that Lord Shiva handed over the Vedas to Ambika who gave them to Brhamma then. Brhamma gave to Nandhi and they reached the Rishis from him. It appears that this may be the place where this happened, because the temple is the home of Brhammapureeswarar, Brahmmanayaki, a gigantic Nandhi and Patanjali Rishi and gains a special significance. Brahmma worship should be done with 36 lamps (representing 27 stars and 9 planets) offering 108 tamarind rice balls. The devotee should walk 9 rounds. All the 12 Lingas worshipped by Brahmma are in the temple giving the devotee the benefit of worshipping the Jyothirlingas in a single place.

One of the greatest temple of Bharat. Probably it is the only temple which has got authority to change your destiny. The presiding deity is Shivling called Brahmapureeswarar. It was established by Brahma. As Brahma ji own curse was relieved here, he can give boon to devotees to change their destiny. Brahma ji has his own shrine here. He is sitting in Padmasan and his vigrah is anout 6' high. He is usually decorated in turmeric powder, especially on Thursday. Thursday is special day for Brahma worship. One must bring their horoscope and give it to priest at Brahma shrine if they want fate altering puja to be done for them. One has to buy separate archana ticket to do horoscope puja. After puja priest will put wet turmeric dots on the horoscope as sign of Brahma ji approval for changing fate. One must not be very sinful to pray for change of fate. Only genuine and pious request to change fate, will be accepted by Brahma ji. Sinful people may get negative effect also if wrongly praying here. There is shop in the Thirupattur village which can print horoscope of you in case you have forgotten to bring it. One should visit on either his janma nakshatra day or on Thursday for janma kundali puja. Other special days are Monday, Purnima and Shatbhisha nakshtra. Brahma established 12 shivlings here including the main shivling in garbhagriha called Brahmapureeswarar. 7 shivlings are in adjacent garden of temple which is connected to temple through a gate near Parvati ji shrine. The other shivlings are at various locations in temple building. Temple tank is inside the garden. Another imp feature of this temple is that it has jeev samadhi of Rishi Patanjali, which is situated near Brahma shrine. A shivling is installed over the underground samadhi. One can book Abhishek of Brahma by depositing fee of Rs 3000. Every day in early morning anhishek is done.

A very big temple dedicated to Lord Siva, where the first of the trinity Lord Brahma, has a special sanctum sanctorum, for worship. Rarely do we find a temple for Brahma. According to Purana-s, this is due to a curse pronounced by Lord Siva, when Brahma made a false statement that he had seen the head of Lord Siva. The temple is located at a spacious village. There are two Siva temples abutting each other. The older temple is a mark of rare stone architecture, including a pond of Srichakra shape, where entry is denied for the public. A big baana lingam and a single stone cut Nandi are the sights for Gods to see, but neglected in the eyes of the administration. There are marks of renovation done some time back, but it is all bushes right now. Trees have overgrown the stone structures of a sanctum on the north eastern side of the older temple. It appears as though the stones have been sand blasted for re-erection but only the marks of the inscriptions written on them could be inferred by physical touch. As photography is banned inside any Hindu Temple I didn't attempt it. High time the conservators and archeologists must take over its maintenance. The religious activities are regularly followed. The area is well lit. The premises is not litter free. The divine presence is really felt due to the solace it presents to the mind.

அருள்மிகு பிரம்மபுரீஸ்வரர் திருக்கோயில், சிறுகனூர், திருப்பட்டூர்-621 105, திருச்சி மாவட்டம். தல சிறப்பு: பிரம்மன் வழிபட்ட ஷோடசலிங்கம் (பதினாறு பட்டை உடையது) தனி மண்டபத்தில் உள்ளது, பிரம்ம சாப விமோசனம் பெற சிவன் அருள் செய்த தலம். சிவன் கோயிலாக இருந்தாலும் இங்கு பிரம்மனுக்கு பிரம்மாண்டமான சிலையுடன், தனி சன்னதி உள்ளது. காலபைரவர் இங்கு மேற்கு நோக்கி உள்ளார். கோயிலை வலம்வரும் போது, சிவன் சன்னதி கோஷ்டத்திலுள்ள தெட்சிணாமூர்த்தி (குரு), அடுத்து அருகில் தனிசன்னதியிலுள்ள பிரம்மா, அடுத்து சிவன் சன்னதி கோஷ்டத்திலுள்ள விஷ்ணு, அதன்பின் மூலவர் பிரம்மபுரீஸ்வரர் (மகேஸ்வரர்) என வரிசையாகத் தரிசிக்கலாம். இந்த அமைப்பு மிக விசேஷமானது. திருவிழா: இங்கு பங்குனி மாதத்தில் பத்துநாள் விழா நடக்கும். பொது தகவல்: இது தஞ்சாவூர் கோயிலுக்கும் முற்பட்டதாக தெரிய வருகிறது. இங்குள்ள நந்தியை தடவிக் கொடுத்தால், நிஜ காளையை தடவிக் கொடுத்த உணர்வு ஏற்படுகிறது, பிரதோஷ நாளில் இந்த நந்தியை மக்கள் மொய்ப்பர். குரு பரிகார தலம்: அட்சமாலை மற்றும் கமண்டலத்துடன் பிரம்மா இங்கு இருக்கிறார். குருபகவானுக்குரிய அதிதேவதை பிரம்மா என்பதால், குரு தோஷ நிவர்த்திக்காக வியாழக்கிழமைகளில் விசேஷ பூஜை நடக்கிறது. மேலும், திங்கள் கிழமை, திருவாதிரை, புனர்பூசம், சதயம் மற்றும் ஜென்மநட்சத்திர நாட்களில் பக்தர்கள் இவரை வணங்குவது விசேஷ பலன் தரும். குருபெயர்ச்சியன்று பிரம்மாவிற்கு பரிகார யாகபூஜை நடக்கும். குழந்தைகளுக்காக பைரவர் வழிபாடு: சில குழந்தைகள் இரவு வேளையில் தூங்காமல், தொடர்ந்து அழுது கொண்டிருக்கும். இவ்வாறு குழந்தைகள் அழாமல் இருக்கவும், அவர்கள் நிம்மதியாக தூங்கவும் இங்குள்ள கால பைரவரை வழிபடுகின்றனர். அர்த்தஜாமத்தில் இவரது சன்னதியில் சாவி வைத்து பூஜை நடக்கும். இவ்வேளையில் தரப்படும் விபூதியைப் பெற்றுச்சென்று குழந்தைக்கு கொடுக்கின்றனர். இவ்வாறு செய்வதால் குழந்தைக்கு பைரவர் காவலாக இருப்பார் என்பது நம்பிக்கை. ஞானஉலா அரங்கேற்றம்: சுந்தரருடன், சேரமான் கயிலாயம் சென்றபோது, சிவனை பெண்ணாக உருவகப்படுத்தி சிற்றிலக்கியம் இயற்றினார். அதை ஐயனார் இத்தலத்தில் அரங்கேற்றம் செய்தார். இவர், இக்கோயிலில் இருந்து சற்று தூரத்தில் "ஞானஉலா அரங்கேற்றிய ஐயனார்' என்ற பெயரில் அருளுகிறார். ஆடி சுவாதியில் "திருக்கயிலை ஞானஉலா' விழாவன்று சுந்தரருக்கும், சேரமானுக்கும் பூஜை நடக்கும். அன்று, சேரமான் கையில் ஞானஉலா சுவடி வைத்து, கயிலாயத்தில் அரங்கேற்றம் செய்யும் நிகழ்ச்சி நடக்கும். ஏழாம் தேதி பிறந்தவரா? ராஜகோபுரத்தில் இருந்து 7 நிலைகளைக் கடந்து, 300 அடி தூரத்தில் பிரம்மபுரீஸ்வரர் இருக்கிறார். ஆனாலும், சுவாமி சன்னதிக்குள் சூரிய வெளிச்சம் இருக்கும்படியாக, கோயில் கட்டப்பட்டுள்ளது. சூரியனுக்குரிய ரதம் ஏழு குதிரைகள் பூட்டியது. இதன் மீது வரும் சூரியன், ஏழு நிலைகளையும் கடந்து, தினமும் பிரம்மபுரீஸ்வரரை தரிசிப்பதாக ஐதீகம். பங்குனியில் மூன்று நாட்கள் காலையில் சிவலிங்கம் மீது சூரிய ஒளி விழும். ஏழு நிமிடங்கள் இந்த ஒளி இருக்கும். ஜாதகத்தில் ஒருவரது ஏழாம் இடத்தைப் பொறுத்தே மனைவி, நண்பர்கள் அமைவர். இது தொடர்பான தோஷ நிவர்த்திக்கு இங்கு வழிபடுகின்றனர். ஏழாம் எண் ஆதிக்கத்தில் பிறந்தோருக்கான பரிகார தலமாகவும் இக்கோயில் உள்ளது. பிரார்த்தனை:குருபகவானுக்குரிய அதிதேவதை பிரம்மா என்பதால், குரு தோஷ நிவர்த்திக்காக வியாழக்கிழமைகளில் விசேஷ பூஜை நடக்கிறது. மேலும், திங்கள் கிழமை, திருவாதிரை, புனர்பூசம், சதயம் மற்றும் ஜென்மநட்சத்திர நாட்களில் பக்தர்கள் இவரை வணங்குவது விசேஷ பலன் தரும். குருபெயர்ச்சியன்று பிரம்மாவிற்கு பரிகார யாகபூஜை நடக்கும். தல வரலாறு: பிரம்மன் இவ்வுலகத்தை படைக்கும் ஆற்றலை சிவனிடமிருந்து பெற்றிருந்தார். தன்னைப் போலவே, பிரம்மனுக்கும் சம அந்தஸ்து கொடுக்கும் வகையில் ஐந்து தலைகளை அவருக்கு கொடுத்தார். படைப்புத் தொழிலில் அனுபவம் பெற்ற பிரம்மன், தன்னையும், சிவனையும் ஒன்றாகக் கருதி ஆணவம் கொண்டார். அவருக்கு பாடம் புகட்ட விரும்பிய சிவன், ""ஐந்து தலை இருப்பதால் தானே அஞ்சுதல் இல்லாமல் இருக்கிறாய்,'' எனக்கூறி, ஒரு தலையைக் கொய்து விட்டார். படைப்புத்தொழிலும் பறி போனது. நான்முகனான பிரம்மா, இறைவனிடம் தனது தவறுக்காக சாப விமோசனம் கேட்டார். பூலோகத்தில் திருப்பட்டூர் என்ற தலத்தில் குடிகொண்டிருக்கும் தன்னை 12 லிங்க வடிவில் (துவாதசலிங்கம்) வணங்கி, சாப விமோசனம் பெற சிவன் அருள் செய்தார். மேலும், பிரம்மனின் தலையெழுத்தை மாற்றி, மீண்டும் படைப்புத்தொழிலை அருள்வதாகக் கூறினார். பிரம்மனும், இங்கு வந்து துவாதச லிங்க வழிபாடு செய்து சாபம் நீங்கப் பெற்றார். பிரம்மன் இத்தலத்தில் சிவனை வழிபட்டதால் பிரம்மபுரீஸ்வரர் என சிவனுக்கு பெயர் ஏற்பட்டது. அம்பாள் பிரம்மநயாகி அல்லது பிரம்ம சம்பத்கவுரி எனப்படுகிறாள்.

Temple is around 25km from Trichy, there is a direct bus from chitram bus stand buy incase if you don't get a direct bus, you can go to toll gate and then take bus from there , frequent Buses are there from toll gate. Can/ auto will charge Rs 100 from main bus stand to temple and while coming back they will charge Rs 150 for same distance, which is little strange for me. We visited the temple on 26th Aug. The renovation is still going on on main gopuram as well as inside the main temple mainly on flooring. You can buy lamps from nearby shops they charge Rs. 50 for 9 lamps, you can also buy aarcha which cost Rs. 250 and then you can buy archana ticket ( Rs. 5) and horoscope Puja ticket which is Rs 10 per horoscope. We had a Darshan of lord Shiva , lord bharama and Amman as we offered archana as well as our horoscope to lord bhrama, you can give dakshina to the priests as per your capacity of will. They will do a Puja and give back your horoscope by applying chandan/ termeric paste which is offer to lord. You can also get paanchamrit as well. There are multiple Shiva linga on the right side along with Amman temple and bharma pond. They also offer sweet Pongal / tamarind rice for Rs.10 as prasadam. Toilets are also there on right side of the main entrance but they are not clean ( specially ladies toilets).

One of very powerful temple to be visited if you are going through a lot of struggle in your life. This history of this temple is very interesting that lord Brahma who is the creator of the universe had felt that he is more prevailing than lord Shiva. This sense of pride provoked lord shiva and plucked lord bhrama fifth head from him and lord bramha lost his divine power of creation. Later lord bramha realised his mistake and apologize to lord shiva seeking relief. So lord shiva asked lord bramha to visit tirupattur and workship him with 12 Lingas which is also known as dwadasalingas. Lord bramha followed lord shiva instructions and got relieved from his curse. Since lord shiva changed Brahma's own bad destiny, he was advised to do so in case of his devotees. As Brahma worshipped shiva here, the lord is named as Bramhapureeshwarar and the mother goddess is named as Brahmmanayaki. The belief of the devotees visiting this temple is that a good positive change will happen in their life for sure. You can bring your birth horoscope paper and get blessings from lord bramha to get rid of bad destiny. A must visit temple in your life time to get a powerful divine experience.
