Movie Cars — Attraction in Região Geográfica Imediata de Foz do Iguaçu

I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2:30pm. The place was practically empty which is great for getting unobstructed pics of the cars. However, I noticed there were professional photographers taking pics of a few guests. I assumed these were staff since they allowed the visitors to get inside of the cars for pics. There were no instructions on how to get these professional pictures taken. Most places have staff that they're only job is to get guests to take souvenir pics since it's a revenue stream, but I guess this place that is empty on a Sunday afternoon doesn't need the money. I thought there was a line waiting to take pics at the Love Bug car, but it turned out to just be a family waiting for the daughter to finish her shots. There were a few cars where professional photographers were taking personal photos for guests which meant anyone wanting to just get a pic of the car couldn't. And it wasn't like one or two shots - the photographers were taking lots of pics with lots of poses and angles. Perhaps it was because the place was empty they spent a lot of time on individual photoshoots which prevented other guests from taking photos of just the cars. None of the staff offered me the opportunity to take pics in the cars. I don't speak Portuguese so I guess my money wasn't welcomed. I usually spend a lot of money on souvenir pics and this would have been the perfect place. Oh well! I got to keep the extra money in my pocket and just took a few pics on my phone.

In the diner, I ordered cheese fries, but they gave me cheese fries with meat on top. The fries were sent back to the kitchen and it was pretty obvious that they just scooped the meat off the cheese since there were still small pieces of meat in the fries. Fortunately, I'm not a vegetarian, but still not a great experience. Plus, the fries were cold and the cheese looked like it came from an aerosol spray can. I ended up throwing it away after a few bites.

Overall, this was a waste of money and not a great experience. I wouldn't return...

For myself, the experience itself was totally worth every penny invested.

It started at a captivating movie car museum, a true petrolhead's paradise. My jaw dropped at the sight of iconic vehicles, each with a story to tell. Seeing the famous F1 Race winner, Ayrton Senna's helmet and his car, a relic of racing greatness, sent shivers down my spine, while Paul Walker's car brought back vivid Fast & Furious memories and a bit of heartache💖.

The attention to detail in every exhibit was phenomenal, making me feel like I was stepping onto a Hollywood set.

As dusk settled, we ventured into a magical forest pathway. What a transformation! The towering trees were illuminated by an enchanting array of lights, creating a dreamlike ambiance. Fairies and elves, seemingly plucked from storybooks, their whimsical presence adding to the immersive experience. It was like walking through a living fairytale.

The food court was also 👌 food was good and the atmosphere beyond comparison, with some pics of the most iconic cars of the movie industry.

The grand finale was an extraordinary water show. As powerful jets of water danced, scenes from beloved movies were projected onto the colossal splashes, iconic moments from cinematic history played out on this unique liquid screen, synchronized perfectly with a dramatic score. The sheer scale and artistry of the projection on water were breathtaking, providing a truly innovative and mesmerizing conclusion to an evening filled with wonder and delight.

O local é relativamente novo (inaugurado no início de 2021) e pouco conhecido ainda pela maioria dos turistas, mas acredito que depois dos atrativos naturais, ser um das atrações mais bacanas e divertidas de Foz do Iguaçu (especialmente para quem viveu os anos 80/90). Atualmente, o Movie Cars conta com três ambientes diferentes: a Hamburgueria/Restaurante (que atende e tem opções de pratos para o café da manhã e almoço), uma loja de Souvenirs e o Movie Cars, atração com carros e motos da história do cinema.

Hamburgueria/Restaurante: O local é aberto para todos, sem necessidade de visitar os cenários. Tem a vantagem de que atualmente conta com amplo estacionamento gratuito. Mesmo para quem inicialmente não esteja com intenção de visitar o Movie Cars, uma parada na hamburgueria já é uma atração a parte. A decoração do local é toda inspirada em restaurantes americanos da década de 50. O local é amplo e tem várias opções de hamburgueres e outros pratos. A melhor parte é que os valores dos pratos não eram nada caros, sendo uma opção mesmo para quem está indo ou voltando para as cataratas/parque das aves e precisa fazer uma parada para uma refeição em um ambiente agradável. O restaurante fica aberto das 09h às 20h

Souvenirs: Loja também aberta para visitação, com muitas opções de produtos com a temática do parque. Tem muitos produtos legais, para quem se interessa por filmes e carros.

Movie Cars: Uma verdadeira viagem no tempo, com boas lembranças, especialmente para quem curtiu muito a década de 80/90. Até mesmo crianças, que pouco conhecem os filmes, acabam curtindo o local, de tão bacana que são os cenários e carros e motos diferentes que estão em exposição. Ter oportunidade de estar próximo e até mesmo poder entrar no DeLorean semelhante ao do filme De Volta para o Futuro, ver o Ford V8 de Bonnie e Clyde, o Pontiac da Super Máquina, o ECTO-1 dos Caças Fantasmas, no "Herbie" de Se Meu Fusca Falasse, o Mini do Mister Bean, o furgões caracterizado de cachorro do filme Debi&Loyde ou Esquadrão Classe A, além da Brasília Amarela dos Mamonas Assassinas e tantos outros carros de muitos outros filmes é uma experiência única. São mais de 40 veículos, todos com inúmeros detalhes, que lembram ao máximo os veículos presentes nos filmes. O Delorean conta até mesmo com um "Capacitor de Fluxo" assinado pelo ator Cristopher Loyd (Dr. Brown). Durante o passeio há cenários onde é permitido entrar em alguns veículos e fazer fotos, enquanto outros só há possibilidade de fazer fotos somente com a equipe do Movie Cars. O passeio é autoguiado, com algumas informações e curiosidades sobre os carros e filmes. Caso queira conhecer, reserve no mínimo uma hora para ver todos os carros com calma e tirar fotos.

Aparentemente o local deverá contar com outros veículos (ainda sem data de quando estas atrações estarão disponíveis, como o carro do Batman, o furgão do Scooby Doo e Corvete da animação "Carros". Seria interessante também poder ver futuramente outros veículos, como a Ferrari GT de "Curtindo a Vida Adoidado", o Ford de "Férias Frustradas", o Falcon de "Mad Max" , a Allan Moto Space do Jaspion e até mesmo algum carro de jogos, desenhos ou séries atuais, especialmente para os adolescentes e crianças de hoje.

Outras sugestões que pode tornar o passeio mais interessante no futuro, seria colocar até mesmo qrCodes que direcionassem para vídeos com trechos dos filmes onde aparecessem os carros, com algumas informações complementares. E, que além da opção de fazer fotos tivesse algum cenário em chroma, onde as pessoas pudessem ter a experiência de "dirigir" um carro como se fosse...
