Important information ! The location on Google maps is extremely confused ! The zoo appears on 3 different parts of the maps ! The main entrance is not here ! It is at the Itaipu binacional entrance. From there you can ask information, buy tickets and souvenirs. Be careful, there are timings, so you might want to purchase in advance if you do not want to wait or end up unable to visit. The two other entrances on Google maps are the entrance for employees/deliveries and the actual location of the Zoo. Both those locations are not for public access. Even taxi drivers do not always know it, so be careful!

Zoo itself was interesting but as we visited it with a group, it went very fast with very little time for each animals. Local excelente para visitação familiar. Há total infraestrutura no local. O turista deverá ir até o centro de turismo da Itaipú e comprar seus ingressos e/ou adquiri-los de empresas de turismo. O cheque=in é feito 15 minutos antes. O visitante vai de “carretinha” até o parque e volta geralmente de ônibus; O passeio leva de 2 a 3 horas, dependendo do guia que acompanha os visitantes, explicando tudo sobre o parque. Como o guia é fala em Português, Inglês e espanhol, facilita pessoas do mundo inteiro visita-lo. Já no Parque há banheiros e água gelada potável a cada 300 metros. Há vários animais na trilha, tanto soltos, como em cativeiros e, sendo alguns, vítimas de maus tratos e, que se encontram no refúgio para serem habilitados e não mais devolvidos à natureza, dependendo de sua condição física.
