A beautiful 1:30 drive from Lençóis the roads a great for most of the way and the last 15 km you will hit a dirt road, slow down and take your time. Entrance fee is R$30 per person this includes life jacket and snorkeling gear. First off need to shower to wash any residue from your body to help keep the water clean. A 5 minutes down takes you into the cave, where you will be stunned by its beauty. The pool is crystal blue about 50m deep. They will explain to you in portuguese the rules. Which are to talk quiet, get into the water gently, can't swim only float becuase the water hitting the rocks makes them deteriorate. Total swim time allowed is 20 minutes. Best time to go is Feb to Oct and mid day between 12:30 and 14:00. Due to the position of the sun, the sun's rays penetrate the caves and pass through the wells, forming an incredible beam of turquoise blue light that lights up their colors even more. A natural phenomenon that makes them even more fascinating! They have a restaurant on site with and incredible view.I had the most amazing cheese pie (Pastel de queijo) If you found this review helpful please give it a thumbs...

Read moreBeautiful, but very far and very expensive. We drove to Poço Azul from Poço Encantado. 1 ½ hours drive in a dirt road. We even crossed a bridge which is kind of "under cosntruction" (we paid 10 reais each way to collaborate to its maintenance). The entrance fee was 40 reais per person for a 1 ½ hours wait and a 15 minute swim in a small pond. That's all. You can go to the restaurant while you wait but quality is nothing better than reasonable: neither good or bad. Make sure you won't try the ice cream. Overall, this is such a waste of time and money. I'd recommend other attractions in...
