Stone Ana Chata — Attraction in Região Imediata de Taubaté-Pindamonhangaba

I arrived with my wife and father in law for what I was told would be a “nice walk” to Ana Chata. 10 minutes in, it was clear that neither of them had any idea what kind of hike this was. I’m not sure which was the worse surprise: the cow crap littering the trail, or breaks every 5 minutes to catch our breath. But this trail helped us to find something deep within us, and we pushed forward. We climbed Ana Chata, we saw some beautiful views, and we completed the hike. We had conquered the trail, and it was time to go home as self proclaimed heroes. Then the real adventure started. As we descended through the woods, an ominous mist blanked the landscape as far as the eye could see. Several groups of cows blocked off different parts of the path, and threatened to ram us when we tried to walk past. A torrential downpour started. Once we were exactly halfway between the forest and the cars, a bombardment of ping pong ball sized hail commenced. We were pretty sure we would die, and said the most sincere prayers of our lives. Then the hail stopped, and we dragged our waterlogged, hail-beaten selves back to the cars. My father in law has sworn to never leave...

Na minha opinião das 3 pedras Ana Chata, Bauzinho e Baú.. a trilha e subida na Pedra Ana Chata é a mais difícil e cansativa.. apesar de se fazer em um tempo bem menor que a subida na pedra do Baú.. fomos pelo estacionamento Chico Bento, 20,00 reais para deixar o carro lá. O caminho para Ana Chata é bem íngreme e difícil a subida no meio da mata, pessoas sedentárias ou com problemas cardíacos nem pensar! Logo no pé da pedra o primeiro obstáculo é a caverna, trata-se de pedras sobrepostas e encostada uma nas outras, onde ficou tipo de um triângulo que você precisa passar por dentro para ter acesso ao outro lado e continuar a subida da pedra e esse espaço é estreito, baixo e tem morcegos descansando por lá rsrsrs... mas, segura na mão de Deus e vai..sem olhar muito para os lados, ascende a lanterna do celular, isso ajuda! Pessoas obesas tbm não dá para passar ali, por ser estreito. Mais a frente, quando você acha que já está no topo da pedra.. vai descobrir que tem um outro lado mais bonito, aliás deslumbrante, da pedra te esperando.. a suas direita, mas que para você ter acesso é preciso ter um pouco mais de coragem rsrsrs...😂 tem que passar meio que se espremedo entre a fenda de uma pedra, tipo rachada ao meio, tbm estreito o espaço.. sozinha eu não daria conta, ajudada por meu esposo isso foi possível.. e então você terá chegado no lado certo da pedra e tbm em seu topo🙏🙏❤😍🤩 é lindo!!! Demaissss... vale cada medo, cada sacrifício,...

It's a rough journey (specially the part where you need to pass through the rocks) until you make it to the top, but the view is totally worth it. So calm and peaceful. The place isn't very big but it's enough. Due to no indications or restrictitions (at least I didn't see any), it can be dangerous (dropping, falling)... so you have to be mindful and careful). The sunrise and sunset must be amazing...
