The "-" show the less positive aspects. They were not enough to downgrade from a true 5 stars. The resort is beautifully done and excitingly peaceful. Living on st Thomas half the year we are used to good views. However the views and beaches here impressed us. We’ve stayed all over the BVI including Saba Rock and several others. Best attitude of staff here except 1 marina hand. Late checkout accommodated Sky at front desk on phone, extremely polite and had a great attitude. Kari at Spa gave one of my best massages in my 59 years. The spa was really well done and had stunning views Service very good Najaire, 2 others came by, very engaging The Drunken Pelican restaurant singer was really impressive. Pool side service (not the marina pool) was slow all afternoon, and I sensed annoyance on the part of a staff member who glanced around for whom I believe should have been serving us. But none of them were too busy so I felt she was being dramatic. Our regular room was essentially right on the beach with soft grass to walk on toward well built beach access steps. The room had no “Florida smell.” Note the bathroom Enormous well used space. Water pressure amazing, which is saying a lot throughout the Caribbean. Great bed with a pillow I'd like to take home. Beautiful little porch with pretty and comfortable chaise lounges with nice fabric cushions and a little table with two nice chairs. Could have used a little table for drinks. No room safe. All lounge chairs all over the place are of very high quality with comfortable cushions and excellent fabrics. Too few towels in room, but after I asked for me they were immediate and the next day they brought still more. • Would have liked ice in our room based on the high level of service expected, here, ut I ordered and it came quickly Bag of chips and some white chocolate covered raisins in room, no more snacks, I asked and was told I’d have to buy at boutique. Refrigerator very well stocked with soft drinks and Pommery champagne. Devorn at the marina is a boss of some kind and he understands how to take care of people. He was great, and cheerful. One dock staff was inexperienced in both boat docking and customer service. I was asked to give him attention when he preferred, citing other customers who were soon to arrive. Nobody came for the next 30 min. After rushing me he went into the marina office where he was definitely sitting chatting with other staff. That was a small issue, but the low point to otherwise cheerful, engaging and...
Read moreWe stopped at The Drunken Pelican for my husband's birthday brunch and received the warmest welcome. The service, led by manager Junia, was the best we received anywhere in the BVIs. Junia and her team went out of their way to make our large group of 19 people feel welcome and special. Given we were such a large group, our experiences at other places were disorganized, slow, etc but not here - they were on top of everything, kept drinks and food coming at all times and even added in thoughtful touches like a birthday gift, Happy Birthday played by the DJ, a dance party and more. While we did not have time to experience the rest of the property, the renovation is truly gorgeous and I look forward to coming back and staying at Peter Island. Thank you, Junia and the entire Peter Island team for a...
Read moreThis was truly an anniversary to remember. We chose Peter Island as it was our destination wedding some 20 plus years ago. From our arrival, staff greeted us with drinks in hand. They gave us a quick tour of the island and updates that were made since the hurricane of 2017. For 10 incredible days/nights we were treated like part of their family. The food was amazing, the rooms were comfortable and the spa treatments incredibly relaxing. After surviving the pandemic, losing family members and the stress of life I am beyond grateful to Peter Island. This gave me a chance to reconnect with my husband, enjoy meeting new people, and recharge my batteries. Peter Island you are my home away from home. Thank-you to all of your incredible staff for an...
