Bekovi Skali — Attraction in Bratsigovo

Fantastic views of the Rhodope mountains and (man made) lake below.

The trail/dirt road is very easy to follow.

If you have a regular(low clearance) car you should probably leave it in Ravnogor and walk. It will take about 50 minutes each way from ravnogor.

I typically leave my car at the water spring (its about 500 meters from ravnogor) because the road has many jagged rocks.

I have seen people drive further, and even all the way to the bekovi skali, but the road has jagged rocks sticking up as well as deep divits carved by water. If you dont have an SUV I would not recommend driving too far down the dirt road. The road is mostly narrow with ditches/fences/bushes on either side. Only a few wider areas where you would be able to pass a car coming the other way or if you wanted to turn around.

There is a cell phone tower about half way so service is fantastic

The walk is mostly flat with an uphill the last 250 meters. There are no bathrooms on the way.

Views are wonderful, there is a little shelter and benches made for about 20 people, so you can bring food and drinks with you and have a picnic there.

Every time I have been, I've either seen no one or one or two people.

Before leaving Ravnogor, be sure to stop by the dairy farm/cheese store( Мандра Равногор).Their cheese...

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DRIVE Especially if you are driving a normal car, and you are full of passengers, do not attempt to drive all the way up. We saw people who tried and busted their oil pan on a rock. They lost all the engine oil and were stranded next to the little chapel in the summer heat. Leave your car at the end of the paved road in the village and take a walk instead. It is easy for healthy, active people. It is not a lot. You will walk on an ancient Roman road. Look out for the big flat stones. There are potato fields on both sides. The view from the rock is impressive. You will see a portion of the water reservoir all the way down and the rolling hills of the Rhodopes. If you ever take the road on the other side - along the reservoir - (which is renovated and very scenic) try to find the Beckov Rocks. I must admit I did not...

The only reason for the 4 out of 5 stars is the full trash cans. First off, I do not get the need for trash cans on such a place. But also why would anyone bring their food/drink and leave the containers there. Anyway, the trash cans were full. I wished I had a trash bag with me. Мястото е лесно достъпно, което го прави много посещавано. Твърде много хора.... Към края на прашния път става по стръмно и има дървета от страни. Идеално място за тоалетна. Пълно е с салфетки и тоалетна хартия. Мечта! Докато стигнете до тоалетната ще ви минат поне 20 джипа 25+години и ще им дишате синия пушек плюс прахта която вдигат. И освен тях ще минат местните крос моторетки и двутактовата смес ще ще ви доведе до екстаз! За капак на всичко има табели на всякъде освен на 30 метра преди скалите. При дървените маси и пейки НЕ ВЪРВЕТЕ на ляво. На ДЯСНО е правилната посока където ще откриете тъпото жълто кошче където тук е споменато многократно в коментари. Това кошче все едно нарочно е скрито .... Лекото отклонение ми отне около 30 минути повече. На площадката и беседката може да си вземете принадлежности за бръснене докато чакате млади градски кифли да си свършат със селфи Инстаграм сесията. Явно много инфлуенсъри ходят там. Мястото е далеч от представата ми за Родопи планина, приятна разходка и чист въздух. Явно е твърде близо до големите градове. Препоръчвам да подминете иначе може да си убиете едни 3 часа и малко повече с отбивката от Брацигово. Жалко за хубавия асфалтов път до селото. Трябва да се спрат всякакви превозни средства там и може и да има някаква надежда да стане...
