Everything Was Complicated – We Never Made It to the Zoo, but Maybe This Info Will Help You

Because the weather forecast showed light rain and only 25°C, we decided to take a trip from Sunny Beach to the Burgas Zoo. It didn’t go exactly as planned—but it was still an adventure worth sharing.

We took a local bus from the stop in front of the ALDO supermarket, right across from Helena Hotel.

Very poorly managed, with no infrastructure (extremely difficult to move around with a stroller or wheelchair), very expensive for what your are getting - on top of an entrance fee you have to pay for separate petting areas 25 lv for each area to enter with a child under 12 for 15 minutes, but you can hardly spend even 5 minutes in there because, there are so few animals in each area you pay for… Employees are extremely lazy. Al in all, it seemed like a place to torture animals - majority...

I visited on 28th of June 2025 for capybaras.
