Kamchiya — Attraction in Dolni Chiflik

Kamchia River is a weekend gateway destination, around 20 Kilometers from Varna and it is dubbed as “Amazon of Bulgaria”.

The place has boat tours, a resort, bungalows, a beach and a few restaurants. The boat tour was nice, it is around 20 minutes and 10 BGN (5 EUR) per person. The restaurants are usually like bistros and few choices of food, but the one that we went was good. We visited on a cloudy and windy day so couldn’t enjoy the beach, but walking around...

Ok, so the first 2km of this river are navigable and form part of the UNESCO world heritage site,and it certainly deserves the accolade as the area is beautiful and offers good camping along the banks,after that the river is almost completely blocked by trees,with very high steep riverbank which proves interesting for canoeists,if you like a struggle and are very fond of suffering attacks from horsefly,mosquitoes and tics I highly recommend this...

Камчия - найдовша річка в Болгарії, яка впадає у Чорне море. Від річкової прогулянки взовж мальовничих берегів біосферного заповідника "Камчия" отримуєш неймовірне задоволення, адже ти зустрічаєш на своєму шляху, то дивовижних пташок з оксамитовою синьою спинкою і жовтою грудкою, то черепах та качок, то вужа, який втікає від твого човна, то витончених смарагдових і лазуритових бабок, які пурхали довкола нас.

А ще я вперше у житті побачила, як мутно-жовта річка, крізь товщу якої не видно абсолютно нічого, впадає у синє прозоре море, як їхні води, зливаючись, борються між собою за простір - у місці цього поєдинку мутна блакитна вода має жовтуватий відтінок. Вийшовши на пляж, ти бачиш, чим закінчується боротьба водойм - безкрайнє море, врешті-решт, перемагає і поглинає річку.

Екскурсія дуже сподобалася дітям. Їм не лише дали біноклі та моряцькі кепки, а й дали змогу...
