Samokovishteto Ecotrail (Bistritsa Waterfall) — Attraction in Dupnitsa

Generally place is good if you like nature. I was unable to find waterfalls. No guidance available. Only one information board nothing else. People in the area unable to speak English. I was very thankful to the shop assistant girl in the village who could understand very little English and she was very helpful. Place is absolutely amazing with natural beauty. But proper guidance is needed to get to waterfall. Church in the village...

The ecopath is very well kept with a lot of places you can stop for rest. The waterfall is full of water at this time of the year (beginning of June) and very beautiful. There are plenty of places before you reach the waterfall where you can fill your water bottles but understandably there is no such place after it. To get there find the parking at the end of the village - if coming from Dupnitsa cross the bridge and then turn right until you reach the church.
