I've visited this lovely museum several times. I recommend it especially if you're interested in local costumes and traditional textiles. It's conveniently located in the centre of the town of Elhovo, near the church. It may appear closed, because the lights get turned off when there are no visitors. Just enter, and someone will come. There are also costumes for special occasions, such as the Kukeri tradition, and displays of other textile embroideries. Whenever I've taken visitors to this museum, they always remarked that it had helped them to see some costumes 'in action' first, e.g. by watching a kukeri or lazarki performance in our village Kirilovo. So if you get the chance to watch a folkloric ritual or traditional event first, do it. Otherwise, go to the museum anyway, and just enjoy what...
