Wonderful building. The History Museum in Etropole launched its first exhibition in 1958. Ten years later, in 1968, the second exhibition of the museum was opened in the restored building of the former Turkish “police office”. The museum of Etropole is still housed there. The building was constructed in the period 1853 – 1870 from Etropole’s builders Deno and Tsvetko. This is the second oldest and public building in Etropole after the Clock Tower (1710) that has survived to this day. The ten halls of the museum tell about the past of the Etropole Region. One of the symbols of the town.

Входът е с билети. На два етажа е разположен, не е голям, но има интересни експонати - още от бронзовата епоха, намерени в Етрополския край. Разказва ни за историческо-културното наследство на региона. Етрополе е било древно тракийско селище. Музеят е разделен на тематични зали. Заснемането дори с телефон се таксува 5 лв. Не е разрешено снимането на монети, оръжия и накити. Дамата-уредник е много любезна, разказва интересни детайли. Няма тоалетна за посетители, дори в района.
