İshak Paşa Köprüsü, ''Kadin Most'' ismiyle 1968'de Bulgaristan Millî Anıtı ilan edildi.

The Kadin most (Bulgarian: Кадин мост, "bridge of the qadi") or Nevestin most (Невестин мост, "Nevestino bridge") is a 15th-century stone arch bridge over the Struma River at Nevestino, Kyustendil Province, in southwestern Bulgaria. It was constructed in 1470 on the order of Ishak Pasha during the reign of Ottoman sultan Mehmed II, as evidenced by the Ottoman Turkish stone inscription on one of the sides. The bridge has three arches, its longest span is 20 metres (66 ft) and the total length is 100...

Hail to the Civil Engineers (they were not called that back then) and the builders / workers who built something that still looks great and is in service some 500+ years later! Not many things last this long and are still serviceable. It’s a nice bridge and I was happy to get to see it. Thanks Bulgaria for maintaining it. It seems it is a source of pride as...

I was amazed at the possibility of being able to drive a car over this bridge. Nicely designed and solidly built. Unfortunately, there are quite a few abandoned and dilapidated buildings in the area, which spoil the whole picture. Why didn't they also make these crumbling structures as solid as this bridge?
