Zoo Pazardzhik — Attraction in Pazardzik

This is a really good zoo park! I think this is one of the best zoo parks that is currently free in Bulgaria. Most of the animals are there however some are not but that's not a issue at all. There is something I need to say about this place. Behind the stadium near the zoo park there is a place where they have electronic scooters and karting, however most of them are very broken and the people who are there selling these for 1 hour or 30 minutes and are very rude and disrespectful. I am sure it was a very pleasant place many years ago, but now it is in need of a facelift. Animals are in need of food and general care. The grounds need some attention. Mostly populated with kid rides or attractions at overly inflated prices. Restrooms need to be destroyed and rebuilt. Disgusting. In desperate need of shaded areas to escape the sun and heat at this time of year. I only give 2 stars because my daughter loves the rabbits and reindeer. She loves all animals, but at this rate of neglect, there will not be anything to see...

The zoo is free of charge. Easy to access and has a bridge close to it for good pictures. I visited the zoo in june of 2020, it was clean and the animals were more "alive" than in other zoo's i've been to. The lions were being fed so i wasn't able to view them. Having no tickets and being free the way the zoo keeps operating is thanks to danations. There are a lot of benches where you can sit and relax while watching the fauna.
