. monument was built in 1976 for the 100-years anniversary of the April uprising. It is dedicated to the 3 uprisings: 1876 - The April Uprising - the first try of the Bulgarians to be free from the Ottoman yoke (surpressed, a thousands of people killed); 1923 - The September uprising - armed revolt of the Bulgarian Communist Party to change the government in Bulgaria. Unsuccessfull, 840 people killed. 1944 - The September Revolution, that overthrew the government and led the country on the way of Socialism.
In the right part of the monument you can see 3 terraces, each one has a wall, covered in stone reliefs, dedicated to each of the revolts.
The monument itself is unique. The author tries to make it as close as possible to Perushtitsa. The outside part, covered not in concrete, as usu, but in round stones, reminds of a medieval citadel. The firm, and the bell tower help the idea. The inside is covered in red bricks, reminding of the famous medieval Red church, found nearby town.

There are beautiful stone sculptures in the communist fashion, recreating those events, as well as a tall bell tower and an empty sarcophagus you can go down to.
