Baba Vanga (January 31, 1911 - August 11, 1996) is phenomenal Bulgarian prophetess, known worldwide for its possibility to predict the future and to help people in difficult for them times. In order of her explicit will all of her movable and immovable property was bequeathed to the Bulgarian state, and her house in town of Petrich was turned into a museum. It was her home, where she returned evening, after her busy day when she met and helped people in her small house in Rupite.

The museum was opened on May 5, 2008. There are shown more than 3,000 objects - clothes, personal belongings, photos, gifts from people who Vanga had helped with predictions and more. The house was restored as it was when the prophet was live.

On the first floor there is a kitchen and close to it - a prayer room with lots of icons and tapestries. Authentically is preserved also the place where Vanga had meet the people.

On the second floor are the bedroom and the balcony.

Very interesting is a small board that greets the visitors of the museum, and where is written one of Vanga`s predictions: "There will come better days for Bulgaria and for the nations who help...

Beautiful, unique, peaceful place worth visiting. I love going back there every time I am in the region. I wish that there were no buildings next to the location with the hot water springs next to it. They have blocked the beautiful mountains and are taking away from the amazing nature. They could have been built further away and 1-2 stories tops to preserve the view. Another example of how people have put money and benefiting materially from the treasures given to us by nature. Some places are better left untouched by brick and mortar. I hope the hot water springs continue to bless us with its benefits, but I fear that the new buildings will steal the beauty...

The house of Baba Vanga in Rupite, Bulgaria, is a powerful and deeply moving place to visit. More than just a home, it's a sanctuary of spiritual energy and reflection. Walking through her modest rooms, you feel her presence — the mystic who touched millions with her visions and kindness. Surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the Rupite area and the nearby church she built, this site is both humbling and inspiring. A truly unique destination that leaves a lasting impression on your heart and soul.

Help! Could anyone from the museum or a tourist check if the little cat in the photo is ok, if has a mother or it is in need? I saw the litttle cat in front of the sanctuary near the bridj. I was there in a very short visit on 28 september and gave it something to eat becouse it was very hungry, but I hesitated to take it, as I did not knew if it has a mother or not. I tried to ask a lady from the sanctuary about the cat, but she only could say in english she did not know. Please help this little soul! Daca un turist din Romania, Bucuresti o gaseste si o poate aduce, as putea sa o preiau eu, daca nu doreste sa o pastreze. Multumesc!

Very nice historical place. It seems that the new sponsor has done a great job renovating the place which was a little bit messi about 10 years ago but now it is perfect. The church is small but very cosy. There is a nice gifts shop and a mineral water pond. There is a big cage with different types of birds. The big free parking place makes the place perfect if you want to visit by car. There is no restaurant in the complex so consider eating before or after the visit not during it. The big stkne cross carved in the mountain is the cherry of the cake.

It was a really rich experience visiting the place. The gardens and the mineral baths outside were magnificent. The museum with the story of Baba was really touching and the room with her quotes struck you like a spiritual connection. Also I want to add that there is a wrong title as here is the Church and the gardens and not her house. Although the church was looking a bit strange like it wasn’t an Orthodox Church looking outside and inside the pictures were a bit out of colour with an emphasis to blood.
