Ropotamo Beach — Attraction in Primorsko

This hidden beach is like a secret little sea oasis. In order to access the beach, you have to hike a couple of easy kilometres through some small but spaced out spikey shrubby forest patches which follow along the bluffs since there’s no road that crosses the river, only a short boat launch or swim at the mouth. Lots a neat lizards and unfortunately, sea plastic that washes up onto the shore daily. It’s a relatively small beach but so unique and worth the little adventure...

Simply beautiful! A natural reserve and a secret beach location not easily located via foot. There is a boat that will take you up the river or you an arrive by yacht from Sozopol marina. I was treated to a mesmerising trip by yacht from Sozopol to Ropotano beach and we even saw a bottle nosed dolphin family on the way! A truly restful,...

Very sad to see this beach in its current state, it used to be like paradise. Currently the sea is very dirty with plastic, algae and generally murky and the beach itself is covered in wasps, two kinds of wasps, one giant and one standard size... Not sure why, but guessing that there's organic waste in the water or some other major...
