Ropotamo Nature Reserve — Attraction in Primorsko

We rented a car and drove from Sunny Beach. We were expecting to be able to walk around the reserve, like it's possible in the CZR, in addition to the boat trip, but the boat trip is really all there is. There are some accidental trails that can be followed into the reserve at your own risk, but we didn't venture too much, because the area hasn't been prepared for this. The boat trip was pleasant, but at 7 euros per person for a 30 min trip (that doesn't really go anywhere, it's just like the boat going up the river, then turning around and coming back), we don't think it's worth it. You're gonna see some small turtles by the river and that's all. Considering that there's nothing else to do there besides this boat trip, it's a bit of a tourist trap. If you go to a sea part of the river, there are very friendly people, you can buy a beer, water amd some snack in the machine and there are a lot of bench for sitting. The upper part is oposit to this. Price is quite high 25/15lv. and you have to go there by taxi or by a car. Walking there from Primorsko is possible, but in summer difficult and not for everybody. We have been there the day before yesterday. There were almost no people and the boat captains said it was their last day for the saison. Nevertheless we got a boat tour with only three people for about half an hour. It was 25LV for each. They told us it's prohibited by the environmental agency to drive towards the sea, so they are only driving up the river and back again. Still we could see turtles, a heron, a cormorant...
