Dragomir Winery Estate — Attraction in Rodopi

We visited Dragomir Winery Estate this summer, and I’m pleased to say it’s one of my favorite winery experiences anywhere in the world. To start with, the wine is superb, both in quality and variety, easily comparable to the best top-tier wineries. The estate itself is stunning, with refined architecture and beautifully decorated interiors that create a truly elegant atmosphere. The people were another highlight , knowledgeable, friendly, and passionate about sharing their gorgeous production. We even had the pleasure to meet the owner. I had a tour from Petya and she was great. Very knowledgeable and she could also explain everything in a very clear way! We tasted 5 wines, where I especially liked their Sarva Mavrud where they made the wine more accessible by putting 50% in used oak barrels. The star of the show for me was the Pitos Rubin. Aged in Bulgarian oak. The color was more dark purple, than the usual Ruby-red. And the balance between fruit and wood was perfect. The picture therefore shows the 2 stars...

I am proud to see such a remarkable winery in our lovely country ❤️ part of the world top 100 of the best winery's. Our guide was a lady from the staff plus the the lady owner. Unique place, wonderful wines, and great food. Not cheap wines, but every cent worh it. If you have the opportunity to visit that great winery, do not miss the chance.
