Ovcharenski Waterfall “Goritsa” — Attraction in Sapareva Bania

This waterfall was a great surprise! We were at a swimming pool in Separeva Bania and I overheard some conversations about it. Since the pool was overcrowded I easily convinced some of my friends to go to the waterfall. They were with their baby boy (11 month old) and we hoped to be able to carry the baby all the way up. It was no more than 10min average climb through a beautiful forest path. At the end of which a comfortable wooden bench was waiting for us. Amazingly beautiful nature creation. The 2-stage fall is quite spectacular when water abundant. I have seen it in all seasons and water quantity because it is one of my favourite places - when I need to see something beautiful, Goritsa is always an option, close to Sofia by car (1-hour drive) plus 10-minutes walk. I walked an ecopath earlier that I really recommend, especially if you’re looking for something easy and enjoyable. The path leads to Ovcharski Waterfall, which is absolutely beautiful—it's about 39 meters tall and definitely worth seeing in person.
