To all of the nay sayers - every botanical garden has a day or two every week when they spray the plants, and then they are closed for public. So do not complain if you did not check the working hours ahead. Yes, a big part of the property is not yet developed, but if you read some on the history of the garden, you would learn that the garden is less that 30 years old, and to make a decent garden with this size, you need at least a 100+ years, or LOTS of money, something the BAS does not have. I do not want to go there yet, maybe another time. Also there were some big problems about the property over the land, I do not know if they are settled or not, but you can subtract some 20 years from the time the garden is founded to now. 30 years ago the ring road was not so busy, so do not...
Read morethe Botanical garden itself is OK, a lot of plants with various sizes are there, also you can buy some of them. there is a parking inside the park. Also there were a few dogs walking around the Administrative building which might be scary....

The only thing that’s advertised and actually is there to be seen is a rose garden that’s underwhelming at best AND is locked. There was supposed to be an alpine garden which is laughable - we were next to it and it took us 5 minutes to realise it. The whole thing is a stroll in the woods with an entrance fee, not worth it at all. The botanical garden in the city centre is much more interesting, beautiful...
